Short guides for the most common things.

Set up your family

Open the Overview tab and follow the hint at the top, or go to Settings → My family. Add your children first, then the grown-ups in the family tree. Each person can have a birthday, a photo and a role such as parent or grandparent.

Add people around your children

Open the People tab and add anyone: godparents, daycare friends, cousins. In the person's editor choose how they relate to your children. Relationships appear in the person's Details tab.

Write a quick note

Use the bar at the bottom of the Overview. Dictate (default), type, or add a photo, PDF or scan. The app suggests which people, groups and events your note mentions. Review the suggestions, switch off what is wrong, and only then is anything saved.

Set up reminders

Go to Settings → Reminders. For birthdays and milestone anniversaries choose how many days before, and at what time, you want to be reminded. You can add several rules. A single person can be opted out in their editor. Reminders are local and set per device.

Share with your partner

Go to Settings and tap Invite partner. Your partner accepts the invitation on their iPhone and then sees and edits the same data. Both of you need to be signed in to iCloud.

Import people

Settings → Import lets you add people from a photo, PDF or scan of a list, or compare your Contacts with the people in the app. Nothing is written to your Contacts.

Premium

Quick notes and contact suggestions can be analysed for free. Saving is free for a few notes, then once a week. A one-time Premium purchase (Settings → Premium) removes that limit, and you can restore it there on a new device. Your existing data, backups, widgets and reminders are never locked.

Back up your data

Settings → Export data creates a backup file you can save wherever you like.
